Angelique is a first-year student from the Big Island of Hawaii studying Economics and Environmental Science and Public Policy at Harvard University. Her past experiences include coordinating watershed restoration and coastal erosion mitigation projects partnered with the National Park Service, coordinating environmental conservation projects with the Hawaii State Dept. of Agriculture and Forestry, conducting paleoclimate research in Brazil, conducting ethnographic research on the impacts of COVID-19 on essential workers, working with Hawaii State Legislators to advocate for equitable education policy, and conducting economic research on upward mobility in her hometown of Hawi, Hawaii. Currently, she’s very involved with the Harvard Institute of Politics as well as various finance and environmental organizations on campus. In her free time, she loves to surf, run competitively, and write music.
