Gus Haffner

State Climate Policy Network Fellow

Gus is a senior at Northwestern University studying Political Science, Environmental Policy, and Civic Engagement. He is currently a civic engagement fellow at NU and is also collaborating on a capstone project with the Death Row Support Project. Originally from Cincinnati, he cares deeply about democratic responsiveness and community organizing, especially as they relate to environmental policy and justice. An outdoors enthusiast, Gus has done several extended hiking trips including the John Muir Trail and Isle Royale, and he hopes to visit the Cascades and Swiss Alps in coming years. He is a devout sports fan who loves traveling to new cities and stadiums, as well as learning about geography and urban planning.
